Product Description

Tapstar MR 540E is a slip and anti-scratch masterbatch in PET carrier. It contains 10% of a unique additive for PET, which reduces friction on the end product surface. This leads to a range of end-product improvements, such as improved stacking, de-nesting, scratch resistance, easier processing and 60% less mould release force. Tapstar MR 540E is distributed evenly throughout the polymer during the melt
phase. During cooling, the molecules of active ingredients migrate to the surface, forming a thin lubricating layer.

Features :

  • No detrimental effect on the properties of PET
  • Decreases surface friction and mould release force by 60%
  • Easier processing and reduced manufacturing noise
  • Reduces scratch and scuff and enhances surface quality
  • Improves the packing and processing of moulded parts

Application
  • Beverage bottles
  • Household and cosmetic bottles
  • PET preformsPET films
  • Food packaging
  • PET tubes

Effective Demolding Solution

This Mold Release Master Batch is engineered to simplify and accelerate the removal of finished parts from molds in injection molding and extrusion processes. Its high compatibility with various thermoplastics ensures consistent performance, helping to reduce cycle times and improve surface quality of molded products.

Versatile Compatibility for Different Polymers

Optimally suited for polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), and many other thermoplastics, this master batch supports a broad range of production requirements. It maintains uniform dispersion and is effective across recommended processing temperatures of 170-250C.

Safe, Clean, and Easy to Use

With non-toxic, odorless properties and a granular shape, the master batch is easy to handle and dose. Its low moisture content and stable shelf life help manufacturers maintain product quality and reduce waste. Packaged conveniently in 25 kg bags, it is suitable for both large-scale and smaller manufacturing operations.

FAQ's of MOLD RELEASE MASTER BATCH:

Q: How should the Mold Release Master Batch be used in manufacturing processes?

A: The Mold Release Master Batch should be mixed directly with base polymers, using a dosage of 1-3% by weight, prior to processing in injection molding, extrusion, or similar thermoplastic operations. Uniform blending ensures optimal demolding performance.

Q: What types of polymers is this master batch compatible with?

A: It is designed for use with polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), and other common thermoplastics. This ensures versatility across various molding and extrusion processes.

Q: When should this master batch be added during production?

A: Add the master batch during the initial polymer blending phase, before feeding materials into the processing equipment. This allows for thorough dispersion and effective mold release action throughout the cycle.

Q: Where should the Mold Release Master Batch be stored to maintain quality?

A: Store the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Proper storage preserves its quality for up to 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Q: What benefits does this master batch offer to manufacturers?

A: The master batch facilitates easy demolding, reduces the risk of part damage, improves surface finish, minimizes cycle time, and helps extend the lifespan of molds through cleaner, smoother release.

Q: How does mold release master batch affect the finished product?

A: It promotes defect-free demolding, preventing sticking and surface marks on finished parts, and assists in maintaining the dimensional accuracy of molded items.
